# AVD Price and Calculations

**AVD Token Price:** We calculate the DAO perceived value and corresponding AVD token price as follows:<br>

**Buy Tax:** Since there is not an automated mechanism of continually calculating asset value due to passive income streams, there will be a 5% tax on the LP price calculation.

**Example:**

* **AVD Token Supply**: 10000
* **Perceived Asset Value**: 13000 USDC
* **Perceived AVD Price**: 13000/10000 = 1.3 USDC
* **Actual AVD Price**: 1.365 or \~ 1.37 USDC

*It's important to note that your return during your lock-up period should be more than this tax AND you will be receiving dividends. Currently: 5.7%+ returns monthly.*
