# Exiting DAO/Burning LP

How to exit the DAO and withdraw your assets.

Members will be able to *burn their LP tokens* in order to exit the DAO after satisfying the lock-up period. Exiting periods can also be proposed and voted on by the DAO through a formal proposal.\

**Early Exit Penalty/Private Exit:** DAO members will have the ability for an early/emergency exit with a penalty of 50% of their investment. This ensures that the DAO does not lose money due to early exiting and encourages long-term growth. Funds to pay early exits will be paid from reserves or through other means, such as members willing to buy them out.
